Valentine Heart Cake

 

  

Cake Ingredients:

 

1 c. Sugar

1 c. Milk

2 Eggs

2 ½ c sifted Flour

3 tsp Baking Powder

 

Instructions:

 

Cream together: sugar and milk, beat for 3 min

Beat; in 2 eggs

Add: flour and baking powder

Beat for 3 more minutes

Pour into 8 inch round and 8 inch square.

Bake at 350 degrees for 27 minutes (you can use a white cake mix, add 1 tablespoon of flour)

 

Topping Ingredients:

 

4 oz softened cream cheese

8 oz cool wipe

 

Instructions:

 

Beat together: cream cheese and cool whip

 

After cake has cooled. Cut round in half. Place each half on the sides of the square cake to form a heart.

 

Cover cake with cream cheese topping use a small amount on the sides to hold the strawberries.

Slice fresh strawberries from top to bottom.  Line them up around the edges of the cake.

 

Make strawberry Danish Desert and layer on top. You can add more strawberries to the top if desired.

 

Keep in the refrigerator.

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

 

Ingredients:

½ c. Shortening                       1 tsp. Vanilla

1 c. Sugar                                2 tsp. Baking Powder

2. Eggs                                    1 tsp. Baking Soda

1 c. Sour Cream                      4 c. Flour

 

Instructions:

 

Cream sugar and shortening together. 

Add sour cream, eggs and vanilla. 

Add dry ingredients. 

Mix well roll dough out (add more flour if necessary so dough rolls out without sticking).   

Roll dough out the thickness you like your cookies I generally roll my out ½ inches.

Use cookie cutter of choice. 

Frost with your favorite frosting and decorate.
